Good Standing Certificate (GSC) is issued by the medical/ dental council/ health regulatory body from where your previous license has been issued, showing evidence that the healthcare professional is competent and successfully practiced in his/her profession. MOHAP (Ministry of Health & Prevention) UAE requires applying Physicians, Dentists, Nurses, Pharmacists and other Allied Health Professionals to provide a valid and not older than six months good standing certificate at the time of application for licensure.

In Good Standing Certificate, the applicant must declare the he/she has never been convicted with any legal cases, medical malpractice during his/her practice of the healthcare profession, and that there are no pending or previous disciplinary orders or criminal proceedings against the healthcare professional. This document is not substitute for Police clearance or any court issues related to the professional himself/herself (criminal legal or labor disputes beyond MOHAP).
